CLINICAL EVALUATION OF THE EFFECT OF DRESSING WITH PLACENTAL EXTRACT IN THE TREATMENT OF INFECTED WOUNDS

Infected wounds arising as a complication of different surgical procedures and bed sores of eclamptic mother for treated with Placentrex locally. This was compared with topical povidone iodine and hydrogen peroxide in equal number of cases. Placentrex was found to be very effective in stimulating granulation tissue thus promoting healing and tissue regeneration. It produced dramatic improvement in the healing of bed sores. The quality of healing was superior to that found in povidone iodine and hydrogen peroxide treated cases.

Besides its goodness Placentrex is also inexpensive.
